Cindy Soper, RYT

Cindy Soper (RYT 200) grew up in Georgia, moved to San Diego for five years, and then made her way to Detroit for grad school where she got an MA in English from Wayne State. She started practicing yoga as a way to add more physical activity to her life. She soon realized that the calm, peacefulness her yoga practice brought to her was an unexpected, but very important benefit, and it was something she wanted to continue to cultivate.

Cindy deepened her practice by attending Yoga Shala with Nancy McCaochan in the fall of 2011. Cindy’s teaching style is inclusive for all students, and she seeks to bring mindfulness, yoga philosophy and physical challenges to her students because she empirically understands the benefits of how all those things can strengthen the whole person. Cindy loves sharing yoga, as a healing modality, with others.
