Do you experience chronic low back pain?
Sitting for long periods of time at our desks, and in the car, promotes imbalances in muscular length and strength.
We may suffer from Lower Crossed Syndrome, which is the weakening and lengthening of the abdominals and gluteals and a tightening and shortening of the hip flexors and lower back muscles.
Join us for this workshop, where you will learn poses and techniques to strengthen the abdominal muscles and stretch the lumbar spine, back and hip/groin/knee.
In this workshop we will:
- Perform myofascial release and trigger-point massage with the foam roller to the gluteus muscles, iliopsoas and tensor fascia latae (in English: your bum and thighs).
- Perform core stabilization exercises.
- Practice deep breathing and stress release with pranayama.
- End with meditation to alleviate tension and encourage full body relaxation.
$25 pre-pay; $30 at the door.
Please preregister as soon as possible. We need a minimum of 8 students to hold the class.
