The Science of Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an integrative, complementary health approach to diet and lifestyle that has proven impacts on body, mind, and spirit.

As a sister practice to Yoga, Ayurveda is an extension of your practice to foster body and mind health through diet, herbal and lifestyle remedies which are most valuable in supporting our health.

This workshop will cover:

  • brief history of ayurveda and its vedic origin

  • relationship between yoga and ayurveda

  • panchamahabhootas (the five great elements)

  • our interconnection with nature, and the importance of living in harmony with the changing cycles of nature

  • doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) – discover your unique body type and unveil your genetic blueprint to health and longevity

  • basic diet and lifestyle guidelines to bring yourself back into balance

Whether your a student of yoga, a yoga instructor, or someone who wants to make positive lifestyle changes, this workshop offers opportunities to learn more in this with Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Certified Yoga Therapist Beverly Lochard RYT-500, C-IAYT, AHC

This workshop qualifies for 4 hours Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credit.
